Why did you get an email from us?
You received a message you never asked for. Here, in plain terms, is why — and how to put a stop to it in one click.
Who we are
Al Saad Menden GbR, a company established under German law in Osnabrück. We supply a chat assistant to driving schools. More about us.
Where your address came from
From one of two public sources: the Road Safety Authority's public register of Approved Driving Instructors, where a business email address is published so that learners can make contact, or the contact or legal page of your driving school's own website. We do not buy marketing lists and we do not scrape social networks.
We write to generic business addresses (info@, contact@, bookings@) wherever one is published, rather than to a named personal address.
The legal basis we rely on
This is business-to-business contact, sent to a business address and concerned solely with your business activity. We rely on legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Under Regulation 13 of the ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. No. 336/2011), marketing email to a subscriber that is not a natural person — a company — may be sent on an opt-out basis (Regulation 13(4)), meaning it is permitted unless and until the recipient tells us they do not want it. Where a driving school trades as a sole trader or a partnership, the position is stricter, so we do not treat any recipient as having agreed to hear from us: we cap ourselves at one follow-up, we act on an objection immediately, and every message carries a working opt-out and our full contact details as Regulation 13(10) requires.
Our message is directly about your trade — a tool built for driving schools, sent to a driving school.
What we keep
The name of your driving school, the public business email address and your website address. Nothing else. If you don't reply, this is deleted after twelve months. If you object, it is deleted immediately — apart from your address itself, which we keep on a suppression list purely to make sure you are never contacted again.
How to stop hearing from us
Three ways, all immediate, none of which need a reason:
- use our unsubscribe page;
- simply reply "unsubscribe" to our email;
- use the unsubscribe link built into the header of our messages, which most email programs display beside the sender.
We take you off the list immediately and permanently. Nothing to fill in, no account to create. At most you will hear from us once more — a single follow-up — and after that never again, whether you reply or not.
